Support For Wildfire Life
Our days are chilly and the heavy rains have subsided, leaving great saturation all around. It’s hard to fathom the destructive nature of the fires in California. It is undeniably difficult to enjoy our clean, crisp mornings knowing that so many people are grappling with high winds, out of control flames, evacuations, poor air quality and loss of power in the rolling blackouts. We feel so lucky amidst our weather issues in comparison and encourage our members to support relief funds in the affected areas. As fellow farmers, consumers, distributors, and concerned neighbors to California, it is vital for us to show compassion and understanding during this tough time.
Last year, Whole Foods Market announced in January that they would be donating 5% of their net sales from 88 WF Markets in California directly to California Community Foundation (CCF). When the community at large participates in donations, it has a profound impact on the many farmers and farmworkers deeply affected. Although we are many miles away, it is imperative for us to give when we can. We greatly appreciate all of our members in Idaho, Alaska, Oregon, and Washington, who support us, as farmers, in our daily mission of making our natural resources healthy while producing organic produce for many generations to come. Each week that you choose Full Circle, you are supporting many farmers in these regions and their bounty of harvest and sustainability.
Moving into November covered in rain gear from head to toe, we will dream of sun and smile for all of our member support for making it happen every day.
