Hayton Farms
Nestled on Fir Island in Washington’s picturesque Skagit Valley, Hayton Farms has been nurturing the land for nearly 150 years. This family-owned farm, with roots stretching back to 1876, is now in the hands of fifth-generation farmer Angelica Hayton.
The Hayton family story is as rich as the soil they tend. From feeding Seattle’s workhorses in the late 1800s to today’s bountiful harvests, they’ve adapted with the times while staying true to their farming heritage. Angelica, who grew up selling berries at the end of the driveway, now leads with a passion for sustainable farming and quality produce.
Hayton Farms specializes in organic berry crops, including their delicious blueberries. The farm’s 100 acres of berry fields showcase a variety of carefully planned crops, helping to balance production and maintain soil health. Each blueberry is hand-picked to ensure only the best make it to your table. This attention to detail is supported by a loyal team, many of whom have been part of the extended Hayton family for over a decade.
Angelica’s approach to farming focuses on progressive practices that protect the land for future generations. By growing organically, Hayton Farms not only produces healthier fruit but also contributes to the overall health of the Skagit Valley ecosystem.
When you eat Hayton Farms’ blueberries, you’re tasting a piece of Washington’s agricultural history and supporting a family’s commitment to sustainable farming. Now that’s something to feel good about with every bite!
